Privacy policy and cookies

Last updated: April 2026.

Nibbo is a cozy space for your family. Below is a plain-language overview of what we collect, why, and what you can do. This is not a substitute for personal legal advice, but it reflects how we intend to be transparent.

What data we process

Account data after Google sign-in: for example name, email, and profile photo if you provide them. Data you enter in the app: family and members, tasks and boards, calendar, menu and recipes (including dish images), notes, budget, subscriptions, shopping lists, assignment notifications, and other content you add. Technical data: cookies for session and language, and routine hosting logs in aggregate form.

Why we need it

To provide the service: show your data to you and family members, sync changes across devices, keep sign-in secure, and improve stability. We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party ad networks.

Legal bases

Including: your consent (using the site, the cookie notice, and this policy); performance of the agreement to provide the service; where applicable, legitimate interests (for example abuse prevention and security), within what the law allows.

Where data lives and subprocessors

Data is stored on cloud infrastructure (hosting and database), images in object storage of the same class of services. Google sign-in is governed by Google’s policies. When traffic analytics is enabled, Google LLC (Google Analytics, GA4) may also be involved per Google’s policies. Specific vendors may change for technical reasons; the purpose remains processing within operating Nibbo.

How long we keep data

While your account is active and you use the service, or until you delete specific content where the product allows it. After account deletion (when available or upon your request), we aim to remove personal data within a reasonable time except where the law requires longer retention.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights such as access, rectification, restriction, objection, portability, or erasure. Contact us via feedback — we will review and respond within a reasonable time. You can also manage cookies in your browser and in your Google account settings.

Children

The service is family-oriented. If you add information about children, do so only with permission from legal guardians and within what the law allows.

Cookies in more detail

Technical cookies for your session after sign-in and a cookie for language. After you agree in the banner, Google Analytics (GA4) cookies may appear for aggregated traffic statistics; Google processes that data under its own terms. You can clear site data (cookies and local storage) in your browser; you will need to sign in again and pick your language, and the consent banner will show again.

Changes to this page

We may update this page; the current version is always here. If changes are material, we may show a reminder in the product or ask you to confirm again.
